    Main use and scope of application High voltage shunt capacitor complete set device (hereinafter referred to as the device) is mainly used in power frequency 6kV, 10kV, 35kV three-phase power system, to adjust and balance the substation network voltage, improve the power factor, reduce the loss, and improve the quality of power supply.
    Working conditions
    1. Altitude: 1000m (ordered). 2. Ambient temperature: – 25 ~ + 55 ºC;
    3. Relative humidity: no more than 85%;
    4. The medium with explosion risk is not allowed in the operation site, and the surrounding medium shall not contain corrosive and insulating gas and conductive medium.

    Product features
    1. The device can operate for a long time under steady-state overvoltage of 1.1 times of rated voltage
    2. The device can operate continuously under the over current with RMS value not exceeding 1.3 times of rated current of capacitor bank;
    3. High voltage circuit breaker without restriking is adopted in the device, and zinc oxide arrester is installed to limit the switching overvoltage when switching capacitor bank;
    4. For 6kV, 10kv.35kv devices, vacuum load switch, vacuum circuit breaker or SF6 type circuit breaker are selected as the switching switch of capacitor bank. For capacitor banks with small capacitance and need to be switched in groups, vacuum contactor shall be used; for capacitor banks with large capacitance, vacuum circuit breaker or SF6 switch shall be used;
    5. The dry air core reactor is connected to the power supply side of the device or the dry-type iron core oil immersed reactor is connected to the neutral point side of the device to limit the switching inrush current, suppress the high-order harmonic and improve the network voltage waveform. The reactor with rated reactance rate of 0.6-1% is used to limit the closing inrush current; the reactor with rated reactance rate of 5-6% is used to suppress the fifth harmonic and limit the closing inrush current. The rated reactance rate of 12-14% is used to suppress the third harmonic and limit the inrush current;
    6. FD type discharge coil is selected to reduce the residual voltage of capacitor bank from the peak value of rated voltage to less than 0.1 times of rated voltage in 5S;
    7. According to the needs of the system and users, the device can adopt local control or main control room, centralized control, or automatic control;
    8. The device adopts single capacitor fuse protection as the main protection, open delta voltage, voltage differential and neutral line unbalanced current protection as backup protection. In addition, the device is also equipped with over-current, over-voltage and loss of voltage protection. In order to meet the requirements of capacitor relay protection, better performance of microcomputer based capacitor protection and monitoring device can be selected for the realization of these protections.

    4. The device is of insulating frame structure, and the intermediate potential point of one row of capacitors in each layer is reliably connected with the frame;
